James Greaney

James Greaney is an Operating Partner, providing advice and services to Denham and its portfolio companies on development, financing, asset management and government relations for projects in North America, Africa and Europe. James brings over 30 years of global power plant development experience, on the design, construction, commissioning and operation of large-scale gas and coal fired power plants.

Prior to joining Denham, James was CEO of Shanahan Engineering Ltd, based in Ireland, reporting into senior directors of Ethos Energy, primarily focused on the construction and commissioning of energy projects. During his tenure at this company, he forged business relationships with the leading OEMs, plant Owners and EPC contractors. During his earlier years, he operated as a field engineer and site manager on various plant installations throughout the Middle East, West Africa, Europe. He established the company’s North American operation, servicing the power industry across multiple states. He also established operations in Japan, the Middle East, Europe and the United Kingdom.

James received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University College Galway, Ireland.
